Mauritius has taken note of the 2026 U.S. Trade Policy Agenda which confirms that Reciprocal Trade Agreements will be a key instrument for the United States to secure market access with its trading partners.
In this context, Mauritius will soon engage with the US authorities to explore the possibility of negotiating a Reciprocal Trade Agreement. The Mauritian Government has approved that a high-level delegation comprising representatives from the public and private sectors, including MEXA, to travel to the United States in the coming months to pursue discussions.
