MEXA Seeks Industry Feedback on Reported Delays in Import Container Collection

MEXA has taken note of concerns raised by several members regarding delays encountered during the collection of import containers at the terminal.

In line with its role as the voice of the export and logistics community, MEXA has engaged with the Cargo Handling Corporation Ltd (CHCL) to seek clarification on the matter. CHCL has indicated that such delays are not currently being experienced at the terminal.

To ensure that the concerns of industry operators are accurately documented and represented, MEXA is inviting companies that have experienced delays in obtaining their import containers to come forward with relevant information and supporting evidence.

MEXA is currently arranging discussions with CHCL on this issue and remains committed to facilitating constructive dialogue between industry stakeholders and the relevant authorities. The information gathered will enable the Association to present a fact-based assessment of the situation and advocate effectively on behalf of its members where necessary.
