Statement from the Government on the Middle East Conflict
Article | June 24, 2025
The Government of Mauritius is deeply concerned about the increasing violence in the Middle East.
In a communiqué issued this afternoon, it warns that if this situation is not brought under control, it could lead to greater instability and spread the conflict across the region, threatening peace.
Mauritius is therefore calling on the International Community to:
- Use all diplomatic means to help resolve the conflict peacefully.
- Encourage all parties to settle their differences through dialogue rather than violence.
- Stop hostilities immediately and return to peaceful negotiations.
Additionally, in light of the current situation, Mauritian nationals in the region who need consular support are advised to contact the nearest Mauritian Embassy or Consulate. Please consult the communiqué enclosed for more details.
