Update on Financial Assistance for Export-Oriented Enterprises

Further to an online meeting held with HR Managers, we wish to share with you the latest update regarding the additional financial assistance for Export-Oriented Enterprises (EOEs) for the period January 2025 to December 2026.
During the meeting, we shared the key elements of the official communique received from the authorities, which outlines the main modalities of the scheme. This support measure is intended to assist enterprises that continue to be impacted by rising production costs, particularly following the increase in the National Minimum Wage and Salary Compensation.
Key highlights of the scheme include:
- Applicable to full-time employees only, and provided irrespective of company profitability.
- Support for 2025:
- Rs 2,333 per month for employees earning the national minimum wage.
- A maximum of Rs 1,333 per month for employees earning above the minimum wage but not exceeding Rs 50,000.
- A bonus equivalent to one month’s support will be paid in December 2025.
- Support for 2026:
- Rs 1,167 per month for employees earning the national minimum wage.
- A maximum of Rs 667 per month for employees earning above the minimum wage but not exceeding Rs 50,000.
- A bonus equivalent to one month’s support will be paid in December 2026.
- Payments to be processed by the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA).
We will continue to engage with the authorities for further clarifications and will keep you informed once the implementation procedures are communicated by the MRA.
We also wish to bring to your attention that, as per enclosed communiqués issued by the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA):
- The Wage Relativity Adjustment support will cease in June 2025.
- The Salary Compensation 2025 support of Rs 610 will also end in June 2025.
