MEXA’s 14 Dual Training Programme (DTP) students graduated on the 26th April 2019 after successfully completing their Diploma in Logistics and International Business from Charles Telfair Institute. Likewise, on 10th October 2018, our very first batch of DTP students proudly graduated from Université des Mascareignes with a Diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
MEXA is today so proud to witness the achievement of these young persons who have acquired the right skills, competences, work ethics, discipline and commitment through their rich working experience during the past 3 years within our manufacturing industries.
These students have immediately found employment either in their sponsoring companies’ right after their studies or they have been offered job in other well-established manufacturing companies.
For MEXA, the DTP concept provides the appropriate solution and responds perfectly to the needs of the industry as the process constitutes of the development of a curriculum crafted around the industry’s requirements and the training of the youth is carried out along this curriculum coupled with a work exposure.
To conclude, MEXA would like to thank its partners: Université des Mascareignes and Charles Telfair Institute. To future-proof our export industrial sector, MEXA has strengthened its partnership with our academic institutes through a MoU with University of Mauritius and Université des Mascareignes. Three additional dual-training courses will be launched shortly.
